Pediatric pelvic floor rehabilitation-- special pelvic floor physical therapy training also addresses common issues such as bed-wetting past the age of 6. We can work closely with the pediatrician and your child to develop a process for staying dry at night. Start now: research shows that social/emotional/psychological factors do NOT cause bed-wetting. Not surprisingly, studies show it is the other way around.
Spinal Rehabilitation- Large randomized controlled trials and systematic review of literature about how to best help and prevent back and neck pain are interpreted in Clinical Practice Guidelines, and these are frequently updated. Depending on the pattern your pain fits, there may actually be corrective exercises that have been shown over time to reduce pain and disability. Pediatric Rehabilitation - We can assist with getting little ones moving towards developmental milestones by special arrangement with the referring pediatrician or outside entity such as Shriner's Hospital. We can also put you in touch with local pediatric specialists.
For older kids, we can assess and treat scoliosis, sports injuries, and any other sprain or pain a body might have at that age. We can also set kids up on a corrective exercise program to reduce the risk of imbalance if you have a star player in a single sport.
